According to Check Point research, the trade of stolen ChatGPT account credentials, particularly those of premium accounts, has increased on the dark web since March, allowing hackers to circumvent OpenAl's geofencing limitations and get unrestricted access to ChatGPT.

Check Point noted an upsurge in conversation in underground forums dedicated to leaking or selling hacked ChatGPT premium accounts during the previous month, according to CPR (Check Point Research). While most stolen accounts are sold, some actors share stolen ChatGPT premium accounts for free to promote their services or tools for stealing the accounts.
