JACK'S THE LAD FOR TOR AWARD

Winger Clarke led the way in the Championship with his six goals in five games showcasing all his ability.

"I'm delighted to receive this award, but for me it's a reflection on how well the team did in September," said the modest 22-year-old. "I was fortunate enough to be on the end of some great moves.

"We have a good understanding as a group and the head coach gives me the freedom to express myself we'll try to build on a solid start."

Indeed, Black Cats boss Tony Mowbray doesn't want the former Leeds and Tot-E A tenham wideman to take his foot off the gas now.

"Jack standing is an outfootballer who had a great month in September," he said.
