I HOPE you are all enjoying this lovely summer weather which is with us at last. Here at Newmarket it is glorious out on the gallops early in the morning, especially over on the Limekilns with the lovely Swallows gliding in the sky above. We must make the most of the next weeks ahead as summer will pass quickly.
Sorry this month’s article is smaller than normal but at the time of doing it I am readying myself for going to Royal Ascot with a number of my lovely Racing Club members. They love to be entertained at the races by me, it is a joy treating them so good as they are all so loyal to me.
We plan to drink a toast to the memory of the late Sir Henry Cecil. Can you believe it is 10 years since he died? Where has that time gone to it seem only yesterday I was spending time with him at Warren Place.
I hope you all like this photo of me with Henry Cecil, it was one of the last photos I had taken with him before he died back in 2013. I treasure all the lovely memories I have of the time I was lucky enough to spend at Warren Place in his company.
