you might expect to see machinery from Husqvarna working in the forests, rather than riding through them, but the brand's 150mm-travel Mountain Cross MC4 is one of a fleet of e-bikes ready to shred the woods.
THE FRAME
The carbon fibre frame uses a four-bar linkage to provide 150mm of suspension travel. A 'mullet' wheel set-up sees a 650b rear hoop paired with a larger 29in one up front.
Shimano's STEPS EP8 motor (the older EP800 version) provides the pedalling assistance, and is rotated to give the bike less of a 'belly' and centralise weight. It's activated using an on/off button on the top tube and powered by a 720Wh removable battery in the down tube. The battery door doubles up as impact protection for the motor, and has a knurled nut to prevent it self-undoing.
