1 Pre-shot routine
Your first instincts are generally the right ones. Things change, like the wind, but it's best to see the shot and play it. If you hang around, it brings in doubt and you rarely hit the shot that you were planning to. I'm quite quick once I've got my club out, but I'm fairly normal in calculating my yardage and deciding on what club to hit. But once I've made up my mind, I will get on with it. I will have a couple of practice swings from behind the ball, I will picture where I want the ball to finish and where I want to start it and then I will visualise joining up those dots. That helps me picture the flight and then the swing needed to hit it.
2 Chipping
