Local Junior Han Surges To Victory
TRUST GOLF SINGAPORE JUNIOR MASTERS

Heavy rains may have shortened the three-day Trust Golf Singapore Junior Masters, yet this year's boys' Open division was fought tooth and nail from the get-go.

Singapore national player, Brandon Han, may have just played his last competitive round as a junior at the Masters course at Laguna National Golf Resort Club, and he did it in style too, by winning it.

But it was 14-year-old Bhumkit 'Heart' Pitchayasaowapak from Thailand who started strong and set the pace for the rest of the field to lead the tournament with a first day total of 3-under 69, a score matched by Han through scintillating play on the back nine.

With the tournament shortened to two rounds, Han kept his foot on the pedal after coming from behind to take the lead by three with seven holes to play.
