When the birdie putt from inside 12 feet fell, Rickie Fowler stood with hands crossed over the top of his putter and savoured the moment. He had just snapped a four-year winless drought for a playoff win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Fowler defeated fellow American Collin Morikawa, a two-time major champion, and Canada's Adam Hadwin to capture his first victory since the 2019 Phoenix Open and his sixth PGA triumph overall.
