TVS star Rajendra RE wins K1000 Rally

GNANRAJ F ormer champion and current championship leader Rajendra RE of Petronas TVS Racing notched up a hard-fought secondconsecutive win beating teammate and defending champion Abdul Wahid Tanveer in the K1000 2wheeler rally, the fourth round of the MRF Mogrip fmsci National 2 W Rally Championship 2022 promoted by GodSpeed and organised by Karnataka Motor Sports Club near Bengaluru recently.

Overall:

 Once again Team Petronas TVS Racing made a clean sweep of all the top-five overall places which was led by the topper Rajendra RE with a total time of 51min. 21.156sec. Abdul Wahid Tanveer with a difference of 21seconds finished in second position. R Nataraj got his long-pending due of finishing on podium with a difference of 1 min 19sec. Samuel Jacob who was consistent right from the start, missed the podium with a 4-sec deficit. Imran Pasha riding a RTR 200 managed to give his team the top-five finish with a difference of 4min 34sec with the leader. Astride a HUSQVARNA the Kerala Privateer Sarath Mohan managed to finish sixth with a difference of 1min 8sec which included 50sec Liaison penalties. Banteilang Jyrwa from Petronas TVS Racing displayed a true example of sportsman spirit as he stopped his vehicle to help his teammate Sachin D who needed help after the crash and despite losing time managed to finish seventh.
