Proud in visuals, falls in action

Hubris

From the view you have of the Twin Planet system as you awaken from cryosleep to the moment you surface from the water after crash-landing, every attempt is made to wow you with Hubris’ visuals. Even its characters are impressive; you get to see some of their faces, including a hologram of your superior as they give you the mission to prove yourself to the Order Of Objectivity.

Think of the order as a secret service in space – it’s even called Triple-O for short. Your recruit is sent to a remote planet to find another missing agent. You’re joined by your ship’s pilot, a chirpy Australian called Lucia, though rather than tag along in person she accompanies you via a remote-controlled spherical drone, piping in to tell you what to do next.
