Two prospects calm skill-based qualms

CHICAGO They are at the ends of the basketball spectrum: a fouryear college star trying to prove his skills will translate to the modern NBA, and a teenager with next to no experience who is trying to prove his skills.

The NBA draft combine that wrapped up in Chicago on Friday presented a host of possibilities to general managers, but no two were more disparate- and intriguingthan Zach Edey and Bronny James.

The 22-year-old Toronto native, a two-time NCAA player of the year, and the 19-year-old offspring of perhaps the best player in the history of the sport both seem to have advanced their causes at the weeklong assessment process.

Edey shot from distance and off the dribble well enough (albeit against no defence) to calm qualms that his offensive skills are limited to the painted part of the court, even if they are vitally important.
