The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Topher Grace, Michelle Dockery and Paul Ben-Victor.

Happenings for the Week of January 21

"Presence" (Jan. 24): Steven Soderbergh takes a sharp turn away from his most recent "Magic Mike" outing with a supernatural thriller about a family who become convinced something evil lurks within their new home. Lucy Liu, Julia Fox and Chris Sullivan star.

"Brave the Dark" (Jan. 24): A troubled high-school student (Nicholas Hamilton) finds solace with a drama teacher (Jared Harris) who helps him turn away from the dangerous path he's on and confront his dark past.

"Prime Target" (Apple TV+, Jan. 22): Leo Woodall ("The White Lotus") plays a mathematician whose research could mean that most encryption becomes useless, leading to threats from an unknown enemy and protection from the NSA. Quintessa Swindell, Martha Plimpton, Stephen Rea, David Morrissey and Sidse Babett Knudsen also star.
