New Delhi: An investigation by Special Cell of Delhi Police has revealed that operatives of terrorist group Indian Mujahideen were sharing their mobile phones with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his henchmen lodged in Tihar Jail. Police have moved court seeking permission to obtain voice samples of Bishnoi, his aide Sampat Nehra and two others to match them with the voices in the calls intercepted by them.
The development has prompted a parallel investigation to ascertain whether IM operatives were charging money from the Bishnoi syndicate in what could be a “phone-for-hire” scam in jail or IM was acting as a conduit between ISI handlers and the Bishnoi syndicate.
