New Delhi: Delhi Police on Sunday reconstructed the crime scene after taking Aaftab Poonawala to the rented accommodation in Chhatarpur where he lived with Shraddha Walker.
To search for Shraddha's body parts, police and municipal officials also began to empty a local pond in Maidan Garhi on Sunday afternoon.
During questioning, Aaftab is learnt to have told cops that he threw some of the parts in a waterbody.
If cops at Mehrauli police station are unable to make a breakthrough in the next few days, Delhi Police commissioner Sanjay Arora is likely to transfer the investigation to the Crime Branch. Shraddha's relatives and friends have also expressed a desire for a CBI probe into the heinous crime.
