Sule to Sattar: When at centre of power, need a civil tongue

Mumbai: MP Supriya Sule of the NCP on Tuesday reacted to the apparent use of a swear word against her by agriculture minister Abdul Sattar of the Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena, saying the “statements made by a minister are not the culture of Maharashtra and are not expected from people sitting at the power centre”.

She noted that the minister had been ordered to apologise by his leader. “The man appears to have taken an apologetic stance. My humble request to all is that we all should not overreact on this now,” she said.

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) politician Aaditya Thackeray demanded the sacking of Sattar. He asked whether Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis would take it up because he did not expect anything from CM Eknath Shinde.
