THE number of attacks reported by Deliveroo staff has DOUBLED in the past year.
More than 600 told police they had been mugged, threatened with knives or even sexually assaulted last year - a 100% increase on the 300 incidents recorded in 2020.
The majority of riders, who typically earn around £10 an hour, were mugged for meals, their bikes and even their uniform.
