Security forces withdrew from around his home on Wednesday, ending clashes that erupted after the police tried to arrest Mr Khan for not showing up in a case against him related to selling state gifts.
The Lahore High Court ordered the police to postpone their efforts to arrest Mr Khan until Thursday, provincial Information Minister Amir Mir told Reuters.
A senior police official said security forces withdrew to accommodate cricket's Pakistan Super League, the country's top sporting event, which was being held at a stadium a few kilometres away.
