Regular-season best Phoenix play'worst game of season', holders Milwaukee also flop
FANCIED SUNS AND BUCKS IMPLODE

PHOENIX A Game 7 in the National Basketball Association (NBA) play-offs is supposed to be the most thrilling, intense type of game, where the high stakes bring out the best in both teams.

It does not always work out that way, but rarely does a team crumable as thoroughly as the Phoenix Suns did on Sunday night.

By half-time, the home fans sat slumped in their seats and the players wore blank looks as their catastrophe was well under way.

The Suns, who had the best regular-season record in the league, lost to the Dallas Mavericks 123-90 in Game 7 of their Western Conference semi-finals series, bowing out 4-3 on aggregate.

Dallas, who led by 46 points in the second half and never trailed, will now the face Golden State Warriors in San Francisco in Game 1 of the conference finals tomorrow.
