She started her tour by paying obeisance at the Jagannath temple and prayed for world peace and progress.
Apart from visiting the Jagannath temple in Puri, she will visit her old school, besides attending other programmes during her two-day trip to the state. Rejecting VIP treatment, President stopped her convoy near Balagandi Chhak on the Grand Road and walked about 2 km to reach the temple. After reaching the Grand Road, Murmu offered her prayers to Lord Jagannath.
