The two-day tourney, 'Goal In Saree', was organised the last Saturday and Sunday. The participants included housewives, college teachers and even those engaged in making pickles and paapad. They practised for three days before the tournament commenced.
"This was the second edition of the tourney. Unlike the inaugural edition held in 2022, in which four teams from Gwalior participated, this year there were eight teams. Orange or the Tulip team and the Red or the Sherni team vied for the top honours on Sunday. Eventually, it was the Orange team that won the title by a solitary goal," tourney's main organiser and Gwalior-based social activist Anjali Gupta Batra said.
