The 30-share index settled 417.92 points higher at 60,260.13 while the broader Nifty50 surged 119 points to surpass 17,900-mark. In its strongest rally of 2022, the Sensex has gained over 9,000 points since June 17 when it hit its current 52-week low of 50,921. The index now is just 2,000 away from its all-time highs of 62, 245.
Supported by a rally in the mother market of the US, there are multiple positives that are leading this rally. A fall in commodity and crude prices which has softened inflation worries is a major reason that seems to be cheering equity investors.
