MAGNUS Carlsen got lost in the rain, was dripping wet when he entered the playing hall and almost had to forfeit the game on his first game of the 2024 edition of the Olympiad.

However, the five-time world champion just about managed to take his place on Norway's top board against Colombia.

Elsewhere, there were no such problems for Arjun Erigaisi as he continued his winning ways.
