Cong moves privilege motion against Rajnath for defaming Rahul in LS

AS the tug of war between ruling party members and Opposition continue in Parliament over Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Democracy’ remarks, the Congress party filed a notice for breach of privilege in Lok Sabha against Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for allegedly making defamatory statements on Rahul Gandhi.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore (in pix), in a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla filed under Rule 222 of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha, said that he is serving the notice against Rajnath Singh for violating the Rule 352 (vii) and Rule 353 of L.S Rules during his address to the Lok Sabha on March 13.
