While the BHEL Dussehra Maidan hosted the mega gathering of the OBC Kirar, Dhakad and Malav clan (the CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan hails from the Kirar caste only), around 800 meters away at the BHEL Jamburi Maidan, the Brahmins held their show of strength in form of the Brahmin Mahakumbh.
While the OBC castes gathering was graced by the CM and his wife Sadhna Singh Chouhan (the latter being the national head of the Kirar Kshatriya caste body), key Brahmin leaders from the ruling BJP as well as the opposition Congress attended the Brahmin Mahkumbh.
