According to the revised policy, the photographs will be provided based on the synopsis of the proposed work submitted by the applicant. However the agency has put a cap on the numbers of images.
"Not more than 25 photos per project in a calendar year will be given. ASI shall examine the synopsis and decide the number of photographs within the limit prescribed," read the policy.
Requests for the unpublished images of excavation and excavated material will be considered only if the period of five years has elapsed after the completion of the fieldwork.
