Firefighters were called to a property in Dunstall Hill, approximately two miles from the city centre, at around 2am yesterday, and spent around an hour battling the flames.
Two women were declared dead at the scene. Another woman remains in critical condition while a fourth victim, believed to be male, was also found.
Around 20 firefighters arrived three minutes after being mobilised, with several fire engines used to extinguish the flames.
