PEVERELL has the most homes with low energy efficiency in the city, as well as the highest average energy cost in 2020/21.
The news comes as Labour pledged to lead a national mission to upgrade the energy efficiency of every home that needs it over the next decade.
This would mean every home currently rated below Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Band C would be eligible for a combination of grants and loans to help improve insulation. EPCs, needed when selling or renting homes, give properties a score out of 100 based on data about the building's energy features, such as the materials used, heating systems, and insulation.
