A BELOVED pet in Plymouth was saved by PDSA vets after an X-ray revealed hundreds of stones in her bladder.
Daisy, a 12-year-old Labrador Retriever was found to have stones of all shapes and sizes in her bladder, which was causing her to struggle to urinate.
Daisy’s owner, Martin Thomson, 58, contacted the PDSA out-of-hours team in Plymouth immediately when he noticed Daisy’s difficulty urinating. The team assessed Daisy, who managed to pass water, though there was blood in the urine.
After she had been to the toilet, the pup seemed back to her usual happy self and went home with some antibiotics and pain relief. Martin was advised to keep a close eye on his dog and to bring her back for a follow-up appointment.
