THE strength of Plymouth's live literary scene will be demonstrated in full this week with three events showcasing the city's leading writers.
Top writers on bill as live scene gets even better

The popular bi-monthly Providence Poets event returns to Greenbank's Providence pub, one of the smallest hostelries in the city, on Tuesday from 7.45 pm.

It will feature a roster of top city poets and authors including Mo Bottomley, Marion Maz, Michael Dax, William Telford, Andrew Martin, Kenny Knight, Julian Isaacs, Matt Thomas, Steve Spence, Sarah Adams, Jonah Corren, Ed Tapper, Phil Smith, Rachel Gippetti, Mike McCann, Jim Sonny, and, of course, regular host and founder Spencer Shute.

The following evening, from 7.30 pm, the monthly Crème de la Crème showcase takes place at Leadworks, in Rendle Street, Stonehouse.

Hosted by Pete Golding, it has become a regular feature in the Plymouth literary calendar since late last year and features a selection of top city writers, on this occasion Jen Wallis, Gabi Marcellus-Temple, Robin Oliver, Sam Carr, Crème's resident writer Hazel Hon, and with music from Sarah Horne.
