STEVEN Schumacher admitted fortune favoured Plymouth Argyle as they came away with a 2-0 win against relegation-threatened Accrington Stanley.
Schumacher described his side’s performance at the Wham Stadium as ‘c**p’ but the result as ‘outstanding’ after goals from Matt Butcher and substitute Conor Grant saw them come out on top.
Argyle made it four wins from their last five games, and with Sheffield Wednesday losing 4-2 away to Barnsley they returned to the top of League One as well.

Butcher opened the scoring against his former club in the 14th minute with a goal which took a huge deflection before Accrington had defender Mo Sangare contentiously sent off for a second bookable offence soon after half-time.
Argyle rode their luck at times as decisions from referee James Bell went their way in what was a hard-fought game against a team desperate to avoid relegation to League Two.
Schumacher said: “I feel delighted. It’s another huge three points. In this sort of game at this stage of the season that’s all that matters.
“It was a game where I was stood on the side scratching my head because i don’t think we made two consecutive passes to anyone in our shirts.
“It was one of them nights. It was tough conditions - it was raining, it was windy, it’s never an easy place to come and play at Accrington. The performance was c**p but the result was outstanding.”
The crowd of 2,489 at the Wham Stadium included 689 members of the travelling Green Army, many of whom were soaked by non-stop rain as they stood on the open terrace behind one of the goals.
