A PREVIOUSLY inadequate primary school has now been judged as 'good' in a glowing Ofsted report. Brunel Primary Academy has given a judgement of 'good' in all areas, and judgements of 'outstanding' in early years provision and personal development, following the inspection in June 2022.
Inspectors from the education watchdog had previously rated the Saltash school as 'inadequate' in 2018 and placed it in special measures. An 'inadequate' rating is the lowest a school can be rated, meaning it has serious faults and must be placed into special measures. This sees the school get additional and external support in order to meet requirements set by Ofsted. But now, following the latest inspection, the school has been praised for its journey back into being good. The school is part of Bridge Schools' multi-academy trust and the support of the trust has been recognised as a key factor in the significant improvements to the quality of provision for pupils.
