Retired police dog 'lucky to be alive' after collapse

Kaiser the 12-year-old German Shepherd was paired with a police dog handler at just 10 months old.

Almost 11 years later, Kaiser is still living with his handler, Ian Brake. The family have sought help from a charity due to the dog's many health problems since he broke his leg during a night shift in 2016.

After receiving financial help for vet bills, the family couldn't be more grateful and say they are "so thrilled to have more time to spend with our wonderful boy."
