CITY MP AND FAMILY MEMBERS SAY 'INCEL' CULTURE IS TARGET

Quest to enhance Keyham legislation

FAMILY members of those killed in the Keyham shootings have warned the Security Minister that more action needs to be taken to tackle rising concerns over the online 'incel' culture.

Maxine Davison, 51; Sophie Martyn, three; her father, Lee Martyn, 43; Stephen Washington, 59; and Kate Shepherd, 66, all lost their lives on August 12 last year, in Biddick Drive and Henderson Place, Keyham.

In a police press conference the following day, Shaun Sawyer, Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall Police, confirmed the identity of the gunman, Jake Davison, and explained he had taken his own life in the incident. Police said the decision to categorize the incident as a non-terror incident was taken by the National Counter Terrorism Policing Network.
