Many of Kenny's poems are as much influenced by walks around Plymouth as by the Americana music he enjoys.
And he will launch his third collection, from Shearsman Books, with a special event and reading at Plymouth Central Library, on the corner of Mayflower Street and Armada Way, on Wednesday, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, with support from other city writers including Mélisande Fitzsimons. It is open to anyone to attend and is free.
Kenny grew up in Honicknowle and now lives in Bretonside and said Plymouth was central to his work. He lovingly calls his home town "Speedwell City" after the ship that accompanied the Mayflower to found the new world.
