TAVISTOCK Rugby Club have purchased land they use for training to help secure their long-term future, partly thanks to funds from an agreement made as part of a new housing development.
West Devon Borough Council has allocated £40,000 to the club to help them purchase land which they use for pitches and training, as a result of a Section 106 deal from the Embden Grange development on Butcher Park Hill.
The purchase has also been part funded by Sport England to the tune of £35,000 and the club itself, who have contributed £11,650, as well as a contribution of £860 from Tavistock Town Council and £200 from Devon County Council.
