THERE is no doubt in the mind of Steven Schumacher that Plymouth Argyle's talented attacker Morgan Whittaker has already proved himself as one of the best players in the Championship.
Whittaker grabbed his eighth goal of the season with one of his regular superb left-foot finishes from outside the opposition penalty area to set the Pilgrims on their way to a hard-earned 2-0 win against Sunderland at Home Park. The 22-year-old crashed an unstoppable shot past Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson in the 24th minute and the Green Army among the 16,000 fans inside the stadium roared their approval.
Finn Azaz then doubled the Pilgrims' lead with a fine strike of his own shortly before half-time and despite coming under some sustained pressure from Sunderland in the second period the home side not only picked up maximum points but kept a clean sheet too.
