A PLYMOUTH mum died aged just 31 after years of struggling with alcohol and drugs, an inquest heard.
Gemma Pinkerton suffered a difficult life’ and childhood trauma’ before passing away at Derriford Hospital last August. She was living with her mum in Dryburgh Crescent, Ham, when she became increasingly unwell. Her mum called 999 and she was taken to hospital in an ambulance where doctors discovered she was suffering from various infections caused by intravenous drug use.
Despite numerous tests, treatment and examinations, Gemma died several weeks later on August 16, 2022.
