Hundreds gather as Bobbi-Anne is remembered

PLYMOUTH came together on Saturday to celebrate and honour the life of Bobbi-Anne McLeod.

The march, organised by a former school friend of the 18-year old student from Leigham, came just days after her killer was sentenced to life in prison.

Bobbi-Anne, who has been described as a "beautiful girl" who "lit up" the lives of those who knew her, was murdered on November 20 last year. Cody Ackland was sentenced last Thursday, and ordered to serve a minimum term of 31 years in jail.

Hundreds of people marched through Plymouth city centre and on Plymouth Hoe on Saturday to remember the 'kind, funny and loyal' young woman.

On an already busy and bustling weekend afternoon, crowds of people gathered at the sundial in the city centre. The attendees had been asked to wear purple in honour of Bobbi-Anne, and the array of colours was bright and vibrant.
