STRIKER Sam Cosgrove believes a 13-day break from League One action has come at a good time for table-topping Plymouth Argyle.
The Pilgrims will play 10th-placed Port Vale on Friday (7.45pm) in their first league game at Home Park since the 4-2 Devon derby victory over Exeter City on October 31.
Since then, Argyle have had back-to-back away fixtures against Lincoln City and Burton Albion, which resulted in 1-1 and 2-2 draws respectively.
Prior to those matches, Steven Schumacher's side suffered a very surprising 5-1 defeat at League Two side Grimsby Town in the FA Cup first round.
Cosgrove said: "I think if you would have offered this break to us at the end of last month when we were flying and coming off a really good run in the league we probably wouldn't have taken it.
"But we have had some tough away games, including Grimsby in the cup, where the results haven't quite gone exactly our way.
