FAST-GROWING CONTINUUM ACQUIRED BY M&G
WILLIAM TELFORD
Finance firm sold to industry giant

A PLYMOUTH business has been snapped up by a global finance superpower in a move which should make the firm a household name. Award-winning financial services firm Continuum, in Plympton, has been acquired by FTSE 100-listed M&G Plc, the City of London investment manager which employs 5,000 people, for an undisclosed sum.

Launched in 2014 by founding partner Martin Brown, Falcon Business Centre-headquartered Continuum controls in excess of £1.5bn of assets belonging to more than 12,000 clients. The fast-growing firm employs more than 60 independent financial advisers operating nationally through its brand. It has particularly strong links across the UK's accountancy profession and a rapidly-expanding in-house discretionary model portfolio service called My Continuum Wealth, managed by Marlborough Investments, which will be mandated to M&G Wealth Investments once the deal is done.
