Double delight for Bank Holiday with Madness and Elbow

THIS August bank holiday will see the staging of the first Tunes in the Park festival running across the whole weekend at the glorious location of Port Eliot, just across the Tamar at St Germans.

Following on from the initial Tunes in the Park live show courtesy of Sir Tom Jones in June, which was very well received, the weekender features nutty boys Madness on Saturday night and the mighty Elbow on Sunday with a plethora of other bands and a wide variety of activities and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Tunes in the Park director Tommy Job, who runs the annual Tunes in the Dunes at Perranporth and has also staged Tunes in the Sand at Dartmouth and Tunes in the Castle at Exeter, was delighted with the way the first live show went down and is looking forward to the bank holiday weekend.

He said: “Not only do we have two brilliant headliners but we also have a weekend full of surprises, including an inflatable theme park, a silent disco, a fabulous kids’ playground plus an offshore stage playing Ibiza-style music and Reciprocity stage which will showcase acoustic music with vegan food stalls.
