A COUPLE from Plymouth had their honeymoon cut short after a ‘nightmare’ experience at a Butlins holiday resort. Andrew and Leanne Handford, were offered two separate ‘dirty’ rooms before walking out of the resort.
Andrew, 38, and Leanne, 32, were looking forward to their honeymoon in the Butlins resort at Minehead back in April. The couple had booked a room in October 2021 at the resort, as part of their honeymoon after their wedding in April 2022.
When the couple, who live in Plympton, arrived however, they say they found mould in the kettle and around the shower, and debris on the bedroom floor. When they complained, Andrew said they were moved to a different room but were disappointed to discover it was in a similar state to the first.
Andrew explained that the bedding in the room was unclean and that they were unhappy with the general state of the room considering they had booked it for their honeymoon.
