THE University of Plymouth and Plymouth Marjon both rank in the South West’s top 10 universities, according to Good University Guide 2023 published by The Times and The Sunday Times.
The University of Plymouth comes in at sixth whilst its city rival, Plymouth Marjon, has been ranked just behind, in ninth.
Although on the surface that sounds positive, the University of Plymouth has seen its national position tumble from 58th to 74th in the space of a year. Meanwhile, Plymouth Marjon has risen 21 places from 101st in 2021 to 80th this year.
This means just six places now separate the two universities, with Marjon coming out on top for student satisfaction, with 77.3% indicating they were satisfied with their studies. At the University of Plymouth, 72% of students rated the university as satisfactory.
