A38 victim found day after fatal crash

A MAN was found dead in a car more than 24 hours after the vehicle crashed off the A38 in Devon, police have said.

Police found the man near an overturned vehicle in a field at Smithaleigh, near Plympton, at around 10.30 am last Sunday.

Investigating officers believe the fatal collision took place on the eastbound carriageway in the early hours of Saturday, October 1, more than a day before it was reported.
