The Scottish ambulance service said 21 people were taken to hospital following the incident yesterday morning , while a further 12 were treated and discharged at the scene .
Police, ambulances and fi re crews were called after the research vessel RV Petrel was dislodged from its holding at Imperial Dock at about 8.35am. The vessel could be seen to be leaning at a 45-degree angle.
Five ambulances, an air ambulance, three trauma teams and other resources were dispatched to the scene.
The Leith councillor Adam McVey said the ship had become dislodged in strong winds in a “terrifying” incident for those on board.
