THE owner of a much-loved coffee van headed to Africa to see where his popular brew originates.

Mike Lowe, who runs the San Seb Coffee van at the Tees Barrage, made the trip to Zambia to meet the coffee farm workers whose produce makes it all the way to the cups on his van.

Mike said his business is really popular and that he only uses high quality beans.

He said: "I'm passionate about ensuring my customers at the Barrage are delivered the best coffee in the area."
