The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has acquired 360 hectare (ha) of land for the proposed Virar-Alibaug Multimodal Corridor (VAMMC). The expressway will comprise 8-14 lanes and connect three districts of Raigad, Thane and Palghar. Joint MD of MSRDC, Kailas Jadhav said the project needs 1,000ha.
