The case was going on at the Vapi PF office when the accused officers together demanded Rs 5 lakh to dispose of the case quickly and reduce the amount of penalty.As the builder did not want to pay the bribe amount, he contacted the AntiCorruption Bureau and complained. A team led by ACB police inspector JR Gamit under the supervision of Assistant Director of ACB, RR Chaudhary set a trap at the PF commissioner's office in Vapi.The assistant PF commissioner and enforcement officer were caught redhanded while accepting Rs 5 lakh from the complainant.
