International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has set up mega kitchens to feed the sadhus, devotees and visitors at the mega event. It expects to feed 50 lakh people during the entire duration of the mela, which ends February 26.Under the joint initiative of ISKCON and the Adani Group, 2,500 volunteers work at three mega kitchens. Each kitchen has more than 15 stoves, with a batch of 500 volunteers working from 3 in the morning to 11 in the night. This food is then distributed at around 40 to 50 different spots at Mahakumbh venue.
