MAPUSA Installation of surveillance cameras, waste collection and traffic mess created by desi tourists at the popular 'maddani' road dominated the proceedings of Parra gram sabha on Sunday.
A resident of the village, Cyrus Rodrigues demanded installation of CCTV cameras at strategic points to curb rising criminal and anti-social activities in the village.
He said the State has been witnessing a steady rise in crimes. Besides, influx of migrants has created a fear in the minds of the locals especially, the senior citizens who at times reside alone in the houses.
"The CCTV cameras will help in the investigation process in case of any crimes.
