The stage is set for the muchawaited concert of worldrenowned singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran, 33, on Saturday at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. He is expected to set the massive stage on fire when he walks in at 7.15pm.
This is his second performance in Mumbai and the last concert of his '++ X' Mathematics India tour. He had a hugely successful concert tour in 2017.
Since the singer announced his India tour, it has created high-voltage excitement among thousands of his fans. In fact, many of them from far off places like Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai are already in the city to soak themselves in his songs on Saturday night.
Said Akash Gupta, a young fan from Hyderabad, "I just can't wait to listen to my idol.
He is simply too good." The concert will start at 3pm with an opening performance by Prateek Kuhad who is known for his songs tracks 'Cold/Mess', 'Kasoor', "Tere He Hum', followed by special guest Calum Scott from the UK, who will take the stage at 6pm.
